Summer Cooking Camp for Kids - Summer 2013 Are you raising a budding Chef or does your child love to be in the kitchen? Do we have a camp for you! This year we are offering two week-long, half-day camp sessions your little chefs who want to be challenged in the kitchen. We will focus on knife skills; making soups, stocks and sauces from scratch; exploring different cooking techniques with vegetables and proteins, and healthy meal choices. If your child enjoys working in the kitchen or not and needs to become more independent, this is a good place to be. Suitable for 14 year olds and over. Soups, Stocks and Sauces Learn the basics behind creating flavourful stocks, versatile "mother sauces" and soups that will warm you from the inside out. We'll make three soups and two sauces then we'll enjoy a light supper together.

City of Winnipeg Food Handlers Course All food handling establisments with five or fewer employees are required to have at least one staff person who has successfully completed the City of Winnipeg training course. We offer a five hour session which includes: review of the 11 essential units, practise tests, exam and a meal. This is a great course for home makers as well as those employed in the food industry at all levels.
