Summer Cooking Camp for Kids

 

Are you raising a budding Chef or does your child love to be in the kitchen? Do we have a camp for you! This year we are offering two week-long, half-day camp sessions your little chefs who want to be challenged in the kitchen. Camp sessions will take a fun-filled approach and will include the following basic skills for living: how to plan, prepare and pack safe lunches for school, kitchen courtesy and safety rules, table manners, menu planning and more. We'll end off the week with a meal challenge . . .

Register for the camp online.  A Registration Form will be sent to you to complete  and return with payment to secure your spot.

 

Dates:  July 15 - 19, 2013; or

              August 12 -16

Time: 9:00a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Cost: $275 + GST = $288.75 child/week

(Minimum class size is 8)

 

 

Teens only Cooking Camp

This session is aimed at Cooking Camp alumni and those kids ages 13 - 17 who have taken Home Ec in school or generally have an interest and experience in the kitchen.  We wil go out for fieldtrips daily, do some experiments and do lots of cooking.  Use the registration form above and return with payment to secure a spot.

 

Dates:  August 6 -8, 2013

Time:  10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Cost:  $275  + GST =  $288.75 child/week

 

 

 

Children's Birthday Parties

At The Food Studio your child and his/her friends will enjoy a food workshop specifically geared to their age and skill level. Options include: pizza, fresh pasta and sushi and full, hands-on participation is the norm. They will also enjoy making candy sticks, decorating their own cupcakes and playing a Food Game. The birthday child receives a special gift from The Food Studio. Activities are tailored to the children's skill level. This is an all-inclusive package, parents just show up and enjoy! Minimum of 10 children required.

 

Cost: $25 + GST = $26.25 per child

 

 

 

All about Cake Pops

Join us for 2 hours of cake pop making fun! Under the expert guidance of Shelley Nikkel, owner of Hot Cakes, you will decorate six cake pops, which will be yours to take home. We will provide the cake, frosting, melting chocolate, decorations, aprons and packaging. The class begins with a demonstration on how to crumble the cake, how much to mix with icing and roll the pops, followed by dipping and a number of different decorating methods. * * * * This is a great parent and child class. . .
